Naturally, I went searching for some options to flash a new ROM or firmware to the phone to allay some of the frustration she was having with the phone. We got it set up with no issues, but after a few days she mentioned a few quirks with the AT&T firmware that she wasn't happy with and asked if anything could be done. I recently picked up an AT&T unlocked LG G2 intending for my fiance to use it on the T-Mobile Network. If you really need a step in the right direction beyond what I've written, I recommend heading over to the XDA LG G2 forum, most of the material you will need is right on the front page of that forum.
LG FLASH TOOL WRONG DLL HOW TO
Lastly, I left out a lot of the technical details and sources for how to obtain the ROMS/TOT files/Flash Tool as well as some of the guides I used to get into this simply because if you're already in this predicament you probably already have the guides and files that got you there in the first place.
I don't have any experience with the KDZ files and can't speak to the efficacy of these steps with those files. TOT files and may or may not work for the other models that don't. Also, this was done on an LG G2 D800 which use. Though, if you are reading this for the same reasons I was there isn't too much more you can really do. Standard disclaimer, this worked for me but may not for you and I am in no way responsible for any damage incurred to your device. Hopefully someone who finds themselves in my shoes will see this and shorten the pain of thinking you've completely ruined your shiny LG G2.
I decided to post this write up (rambling though it may be) because of how long and hard I had to search to come across the resolution and the amount of posts from people with the same or similar issues with no listed resolution.
LG FLASH TOOL WRONG DLL WINDOWS
For me it only worked in Linux, two different windows boxes failed.įirst off I want to send out a big thanks to this thread as well as XDA for getting me pointed in the right direction for a fix to this issue. Edit: tl Dr: Use a hex editor in a Linux distro to modify the tot file to allow you to flash the correct stock firmware on your phone.
